Vilhelm Wohlert

Vilhelm Wohlert was educated at the Art Academy in Copenhagen where he was a pupil of Kaare Klint. Kaare Klint's influence has thus left its distinct mark on Vilhelm Wohlert design. Vilhelm Wohlert was self employed at the Academy as professor of architecture from 1968-86 and was the same place appointed honorary member in 2001. Among his main works include refurbishment of the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek art museum Louisiana, as well as numerous other construction and restorations. Vilhelm Wohlert has been awarded the Academy's small gold medal and medal Eckersberg plus several other awards during his long career. Vilhelm Wohlert has among others designed for Le Klint 325 Le Klint Satellite pendant for Louis Poulsen.
