Toyo Ito
Toyo Ito was born in Japan in 1941. He is known as one of the worlds most innovative and influential architects. He founded his own studio in Tokyo in 1971 and has exhibited worldwide. He has won many awards throughout his career including the RIBA Royal Gold Medal, the Japanese Good Design Award and the Praemium Imperiale. He is a professor at several universities.
