Alessandro Lenarda
Italian designer and architect Alessandro Lenarda was born in Venice in 1939. After studying music and classical literature he obtained a degree in Architecture in Venice. He designs with a specific interest in glass technology, creating furniture, lighting, bathroom and street furnishings. He is a member of the Association of Industrial Design and has exhibited at several times at the International Biennial of Art in Venice. He was awarded the Report of Honour award ‘Compasso d’Oro’ in 1991 and 1994, and he is the subject of a book ‘Alessandro Lenarda a Murano’. Alessandro has led research seminars in both Italy and abroad and often contributes to specialist magazine articles. Some of his works are considered ‘of great historical and artistic interest’.
